Salted Caramel Bar Recipe

These look super tasty! The next thing better than eating caramel is eating caramel attached to a sweet and salty cookie! I tried these all I can say they are amazing, everyone who tried them went crazy over them.

Salted Caramel Bar recipe made with a sweet shortbread crust & topped with smooth caramel and sea salt. Perfectly indulgent caramel butter bar dessert!

Servings: 30 bars

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter softened (2 cubes)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 11/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 TBSP vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 14 oz bag caramels unwrapped (or 11 oz bag of unwrapped caramel bits)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp coarse sea salt


Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl cream together butter, sugar, and powdered sugar.
